(June 18, 2007)…..Deborah Sawyer, a partner with the executive search firm Morgan Howard Worldwide, has placed Megan Matthews as Communications Director for the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation is a private family foundation dedicated to improving outcomes for children living in urban poverty throughout the world. The Foundation seeks to find and replicate effective and pragmatic solutions to serious problems, primarily in the areas of education and children’s health, both in the United States and India.

As Communications Director, Ms. Matthews will have responsibility for furthering the Foundation’s mission by organizing, orchestrating and coordinating both external and internal communications. Prior to joining the Foundation, Ms. Matthews was the Director, Global Marketing Communications Services for Nokia Enterprise Solutions. She brings to this role a strong background in the areas of strategic communications, corporate positioning, marketing communications, media relations and analyst communications.
