(December 3, 2007)…..Deborah Sawyer, a partner with the executive search firm Morgan Howard Worldwide, has placed Joe Siedlecki as Grant Officer for the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation. Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation is a private family foundation dedicated to improving outcomes for children living in urban poverty throughout the world. The Foundation seeks to find and replicate effective and pragmatic solutions to serious problems, primarily in the areas of education and children’s health, both in the United States and India.
As Grant Officer, Mr. Siedlecki will work on the Foundation’s US National Education team. In this role he will support the US National grants portfolio and focus on managing grant and program outcomes.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Mr. Siedlecki worked for the Office of Management and Budget at The White House under President George W. Bush’s administration. As the Senior Examiner for the Education, Income Maintenance and Labor Division, Mr. Siedlecki evaluated the effectiveness of federal programs, assessed competing funding demands and set funding priorities for the President. In this role, Mr. Siedlecki managed a $6 billion portfolio, managing, implementing and developing the President’s Budget for the Department of Labor and related agencies.
