Sylvia Kingston is a managing consultant with Morgan Howard, located in New York.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kingston was a senior consultant at another leading search firm. Her specialty resides in the financial services sector, with strong functional expertise in human resources.
Previously, Ms. Kingston spent over 12 years in senior human resources roles. Ms. Kingston spent four years as vice president and head of human resources for Sanwa Financial Products, the Sanwa Bank derivatives trading and marketing subsidiary for fixed income products. She joined Sanwa after nine years as a specialist in human resources at Salomon Brothers, serving as VP/manager of global compensation and HRIS. Previously, Ms. Kingston held several previous management assignments at Salomon Brothers including positions in training, recruitment and business management for human resources.
Prior to her career in financial services, Ms. Kingston spent over 14 years in retail management at Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, B. Altman's and Filene's, Boston. She held various service management positions within stores in addition to corporate training management positions.
After the September 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center, Ms. Kingston served her community in supporting 50 victims' families.
Ms. Kingston graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's of Arts in Classics from Pomona College of Claremont Colleges, California. She spent a year in the graduate study of Classical Philology at Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
